Just like a scene from a Hollywood movie, a representative of the estate hand delivered this Gold Shipwreck Coin collection to Manor Auctions in a cardboard box while the two sat in the backseat of a car in a South Florida McDonalds parking lot.Manor Auctions, headquartered in Tallahassee Florida, has been commissioned to sell the Gold Shipwreck Treasure Coin collection in the October 2010 Lakeland Auction. The collection is comprised of 6 gold coins, all set in high karat gold jewelry surrounded by treasure emeralds and beautiful diamonds. The jewelry pieces include necklaces, rings, bracelets and a seal ring.So many treasure hunters, inspired by those who have struck it rich before them, dedicate their lives to potential discovery of hoards of valuable sunken gold & silver treasure of coins, plates, jewelry, bowls, bars and the like. Life-long treasure hunter Mel Fisher is one of those who spent much of his life adventuring out in search of sunken treasure, but different than so many others, Fisher did successfully locate and secure the rights to the Spanish galleon Atocha and Santa Margarita off Key West Florida, both of which sunk in a hurricane in 1622. Fisher’s discovery and subsequent success in the courts made him an icon in the world of treasure hunters, not to mention very wealthy.Manor looks forward to bringing these rare gold treasure coin jewelry pieces to auction.
